I felt I was reading a textbook that was dressed up to be a novel. If the writing were elegant or the character more engaging, I might have read on. While Stone clearly did his r I appreciated learning more about Michelangelo whom I’d never really read anything etazbut the pedestrian way this book was written kind of killed the intrigue for me.
