This is the 5th book of the Darkyn series. She writes mostly novels in a variety of genres and under several pseudonyms. While I really disliked those pieces of the book, much of the rest of the book was interesting.
Shouldn’t there be more respect? Hopefully things will settle down now. United States of America. Jayr is unique among the Kyn in that she is a female seneschal, a typically male profession. Yes I know that Vampires are faster, more addept and tireless but everyone does have their limits.
Now, Byrne plans to step down and hand over the Jardin to another Kyn lord-a move that threatens not only Jayr’s position, but her very life For how can a man love a woman who looks like a teenage boy? I think the author spent too much time contriving an intriguing plot and left the character a little unconnected to the reader.
But, like him, is sure that her attentions would be embarrassing and inappropriate.
And the two main characters in this book, they’ve known eachother for hundreds of years but suddenly they’re No real review here, just me seriously tempted to list every little problem I had with this book But these Kyn need to get with the times and modernize their behavior.
I cannot leave you, this bond too strong. The characters, their flaws and emotions along with the deep need for sexual contact leave you to turning page after page to find only so much more. You submitted the following rating and review.
Other books in the series. Alexandra also makes a solid, defining contrast to Jayr that makes both characters more profound than without the juxtaposition.
The Darkyn, as Knights Templar, have an interesting history which never fails to surprise. However, Jayr, is also secretly in love with Byrne. There are many twists and turns not only in their story, but in the story of a viehll other characters in this world.

The story is beautiful and when Byrne and Jayr finally get together it is just explosive. After the tournament, Byrne will no longer be leader of the Realm jardin and he’ll have to leave Jayr behind. I adore Rain and Farlae, for instance, and really liked that they were in the story as well. I live near Orlando and I am familiar with the setting and I couldn’t imagine it as it was everrmore in this book.

If Angels Burn 2. Her twin was an interesting character with the climax of the story I would love to see again. Multiple plots with twists and turns make this an engrossing story. The medieval times meets modern day atmosphere in this book was fun. And he had lots of sex while she, of course, remained untouched by any other man. As I mentioned, the plot contained a great deal of intrigue and was pulled together well, leaving a satisfactory high feeling at the conclusion of the book. So they are very old fashion in their thinking.
