I like Asimov’s short stories books and science books much more than his actual novels. Azazel is going to make sure it happens. Inthis trilogy won the Hugo award for best all-time science fiction series. The stories take the form of conversations between an unnamed writer whom Asimov identifies in the collection introduction as himself and a shiftless friend named George named in “The Two-Centimeter Demon” as George Bitternut.

How can I possibly believe a man who tells me he has access to a two-centimeter tall demon he calls Azazel; a demon who is really an extraterrestrial personage of extraordinary, but strictly limited, powers?

On Azazel stories, siaac, I remember exactly nothing of the kind. Asimov’s most famous work is the Foundation Series; his other major series are the Galactic Empire series and the Robot series, both of which he later tied into the same fictional universe as the Foundation Series to create a unified “future history” for his stories much like those pioneered by Robert A.
